The September Holidays are Here!

Written on 1st of September, 9:54 PM

A very warm welcome to all of you people out there who’s reading this blog post. August has ended, and with that comes a new month. The fasting month, or else known as Ramadhan month, has also ended. To my fellow Muslim friends, I would like to say Happy Eid Mubarak, may Allah bless us all. To everyone reading this that knows me, I’d also like to ask for forgiveness for all the wrongdoings I’ve committed in the past.

This year is the first year that I am not able to spend Hari Raya Idul Fitri with my family. Yes, it’s sad. But my Dad always says that ‘happiness is a choice,’ and I choose to be happy on that day. I didn’t do much; I went to Kinokuniya and bought a book, ‘A Game of Thrones’ George R. R. Martin. It’s been a habit of mine to only buy one book at a time (or at the most, 2 books). I saw this girl who bought like, 6 or 7 books. She was looking at the shelves and spotted a book that she has read before, and she said “Oh! I’ve read this book!” and just like that, she plucked the sequels to that book and gave it to her mother. Guess what? I envy her so much -_-. I wish I had the liberty to buy books whenever I want to. My dad would never let me do that… He does like reading and has even said that he would rather buy me tons of books than spend the money on food. But I do agree on him that I shouldn’t buy 7 books at once… Take it steady. Don’t have the habit of buying so many books that in the end won’t be read at all. The same goes for clothes. I’m not the type to go shopping with my friends; in fact I’ve never bought any form of clothing with my friends. I always do it with my mom around; as I believe that she knows what is best and appropriate for me. There’s a person I know who loves to go shopping, and said that some of them haven’t even been worn yet!

When I came back to school after the long 4 days break, I was called in English class to help Mr Muru demonstrate what Muslims do during Hari Raya Idul Fitri. Mr Muru then proceeded to asking me what I did during that day, and he asked “Oh is your family here with you?” “No…” “No? Do you have relatives here?” “Umm… No.”He really seemed to be concerned with my situation, and as a result of it all, he arranged for the class to gather at Haiqal’s house after school the next day. He was talking about how getting good grades is not the only important thing in the world, being there for your friends is another thing. So I guess the whole gathering thing was also to cheer me up as I didn’t celebrate Eid Mubarak with my family. Mr Muru and 4E2, if you are reading this, I would like to say thank you very much for the concern and kindness. I’m a shy person so I don’t really express my feelings much, but when I do, I really say it from the bottom of my heart J

That brings me to the next topic, Teacher’s Day Celebration. Tomorrow, 2nd of September is the day when we celebrate Teacher’s Day (in Singapore), so tomorrow is a school holiday, and today is only a half-school day as we’re celebrating it. I was planning to make cards for every teacher as I did last year. I did make the cards… but I didn’t give it to the teachers. I rushed while doing it (just did it the night before… wanted to do it earlier but didn’t have any ideas!) and I don’t think that it was neat enough to give it to the teachers K I know that actually it’s the effort that counts, but I don’t want to give them crappy work either… It shows that you didn’t really put much effort into it. So dear teachers, I would like to thank you for being such an amazing teacher and also being a very inspirational figure to me. The 1 year and 3 months I have spent in Pei Hwa has been a hell of a ride, and I genuinely enjoyed it. I am grateful to have such awesome teachers and I hope that you are proud to have me as your student. Sincerely, Indira Pranabudi.

So this brings me to the title of this post. The SEPTEMBER HOLIDAYS! Yeay! I’m going home to Indonesia tomorrow morning. Luckily, I don’t have to go back to school during the holidays (and I’m quite surprised about this) which means that I can spend the whole holiday in Singapore. And yes, I am aware of the fact that when school reopens, I still have my Physics, Additional Mathematics and Malay Language Prelims. That’s why I’m bringing along some of my books so that I can study in Indonesia.

I am extremely OVER THE MOON right now… Lots of things are gonna happen this holiday. One of it being: the arrival of a new living soul in my house… a dog (breed: Collie) named Prince. Nadia’s dog. This is gonna be AWESOME.

I Feel BLESSED

Hello blogverse.... (is there such a word?)

Tomorrow marks the start of the fourth week of term 3, which means that my 'O' Levels are nearing. My holiday was pretty epic, I had tons of fun. I only spent 1.5 weeks in Indonesia, but it was still awesome. I met my friends, my cats, and last but not least, my family! ({})

Before that, me and my family actually had vacation here in Singapore. We stayed in a condo, not the one I live in, but it's somewhere on Orchard Road. My family stayed for 6 days 5 nights. The first day, we went to Universal Studios Singapore! :) To be honest, I'm of the opinion that USS is not that awesome, but not that bad either. I mean, the attractions are mostly the same as in other theme parks, and when I first came in, I thought the place was massive, and it turned out that it wasn't really that big. Anyway, what makes it different and special is the characters. Like Shrek, Puss in Boots, Charlie Chapin, the characters from Madagascar, and a lot more. But overall, I'd say it was pretty good.

Right now, school kind of owns me. We have this Afternoon Study Program (ASP) Tuesdays to Fridays from 1430 to 1800. Three hours and fifteen minutes of study and only 15 minutes break. The first thing that popped in my mind when the teachers announced the ASP was:torture. Because it is sort of torture. I'm only spending 10 and a half hours at home. And by the time I arrive home, all I can think of is It's time to have fun! But to be honest, my opinion on ASP has changed. With ASP, I nearly always complete my homework in time, and it does help me to study and revise. And since there are teachers in the hall during ASP, whenever I have any queries I can just ask them. So I'd like to thank the teachers for being there for us during ASP :)

Aside from that... I'm currently doing the 30 Days Hunger Games Challenge on Tumblr. Oh, and Harry Potter is in theaters! Can't wait to watch it myself :) And last but not least....

I PASSED THE 3rd ROUND OF QUALIFICATION TEST FOR THE AFS STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM!

I feel so blessed, cheerful, contented... happy!

However.... it doesn't mean I'm definitely going abroad. Not yet. There's still the national selection thing. I really do hope I pass :D To be honest, I think the stuff that I said wasn't that meaningful or anything. In fact, the more I tried to say something meaningful, it sounded kind of like crap :| Oh well. The good thing is that I passed :) Maybe the judges thought that based on my actions, I deserve it. Oh, and another interesting fact is... one of my teammates during the 3rd selection said I was the one who acted like a leader the most (grammatically incorrect sentence?) What I did was actually remind the team our objective, what time we have left, and I just voiced my opinion... But okay, never mind. I hope I do have some leadership quality in me. And I really hope I'll be able to go on this Student Exchange Program. Aamiin.

December Holidays ARE COMING!

"Well hello people. It's the last week of school! I can't believe I'm gonna be back at home in a couple of weeks. I still have this headstart programme thing for one and a half weeks so I have to stay in Singapore for a bit longer. And that also means I'll have to spend my birthday in Singapore :(. But I'm trying to see the positive side of this. So... For this year only, I'm gonna 'postpone' my birthday and pretend that it's actually on the 14th of November. Which means I'll be 14 for 372 days and I'll be 15 for only 358 days. :D

The final exam results have come out and... Not bad :). I'm 6th in class! Happy to hear that.

The past few days I've been really really really into Glee. You know Glee right? It's this TV show on FOX. It's amazing, I really love it. As Cory Monteith put it, it's like High School Musical has been punched in the stomach and had it's lunch money stolen. I don't really get what he means.. But I guess I'll stick to his analogy. But I think it's just awesome and that you should watch it.

I didn't really know what Glee was until I heard my friends talking about it, which was like half a year ago. It's on every Tuesday/ Wednesday night (I forgot), and I'm not really allowed to watch TV on weekday-nights so that's why I didn't really know what Glee was. But I did watch an episode, after I asked permission from my Mom. And at that point of time, I didn't really get what people really saw in Glee, and just thought that it was just some ordinary TV show. But around two weeks ago me and my dad went to this DVD retailer and I bought the complete season 1 of Glee. And.. I finished watching all of it in like 4 or 5 nights (I had school during the day). And I loved it.

So.. FOX is already airing the second season now. I can't wait to go back to Indonesia so that I can watch Glee! I don't think they have FOX at the place I'm staying now. So for now I guess I'll just have to wait. Oh, and Glee does really awesome musical numbers. Watch this.

Ok so that's that. Oh, and I saw these really funny doormats. Check them out.

That's all for now... And see you in Indonesia! :D

"I used to think this was like the lamest thing on earth. And maybe it is. But we're all here for the same reason: 'cause we want to be good at something."

"Being a part of the glee club and football has really showed that I can be anything. And what I am is... I'm gay."
-Kurt Hummel

"Glee is supposed to be what's inside your heart, not what's coursing through your veins."
-William "Will" Schuester

"I don't trust a man with curly hair. I can't help picturing small birds laying sulphurous eggs in there and I find it disgusting."
-Sue Sylvester

"Sometimes people have to deal with a little adversity. I learned that at glee club."
-Quinn Fabray

"Bring it on, William. I am reasonably confident that you'll be adding revenge to the long list of things you're not good at. Right next to being married, running a high-school glee club, and finding a hairstyle that doesn't make you look like a lesbian."
-Sue Sylvester

"I'm gonna bring some Asian cookery to rub your head with, 'cause right now you've got enough product in your hair to season a wok."
-Sue Sylvester

"[Sniffis] Oh, hey William. I thought I smelled cookies wafting from the ovens of the little elves who live in your hair."
-Sue Sylvester

"I'm a delinquent, sure. I like setting things on fire and beating up people I don't know. I own that. But I'm not a liar."

"I'm proud to be different. It's the best thing about me."

"To be honest, Will, I'm having a really difficult time hearing anything you say today, because your hair looks like a briar patch. I keep expecting racist, animated Disney characters to pop up and sing songs about living on the bayou."
-Sue Sylvester

"I'm gonna take your house, your car, your extensive collection of vests. I mean, seriously, Will-you wear more vests than the cast of Blossom."
-Sue Sylvester

"Brittany: I don't want to do Britney.
Kurt: Why no Britney, Brittany?
Brittany: Because my name is also Britney Spears. My middle name is Susan. My last name is Pierce. That makes me Brittany S. Pierce-Britney Spears. I've lived my entire life in Britney Sprears's shadow and I'll never be as talented or as famous. I hope that you'll all respect that I want glee club to remain a place where I, Brittany S. Pierce, can escape the torment of Britney Spears."
-Brittany S. Pierce and Kurt Hummel

"[To Emma] I realise you're only half orangutan, but I'm still very allergic to your lustrous ginger mane."

I'm gonna miss Indonesia ;'(

In a matter of 2 or 3 weeks, I'll be moving to Singapore. Aw God, I'm really gonna miss my friends.. I'm gonna miss my life in Indonesia, my friends, my school, my teacher, my cats.. EVERYBODY! I wish I didn't have to move so sudden. But that's the only choice I have for now. I'm gonna miss you guys ;'(

Well, moving to Singapore would be a disadvantage, but an advantage at the same time. Singapore provides better education, and better environment. I can't just skip on this opportunity, and anyway, I can't. I will surely have to move to Singapore, my whole family is moving there. If I chose to stay (which is impossible), I won't have anywhere to live. Well, maybe I can live in Jogja with my grandparents, but it's still the same, the choice is moving to Singapore or moving to Jogja. Well of course I'll chose Singapore. But God has given us this opportunity, this rare opportunity, and I must use this opportunity.

It's a real bummer that I have to move so quick, all that I hope is that I'll enjoy my life there, and that I will use my time and opportunity wisely. And one more thing... I hope we'll visit Jakarta.. I WILL SURELY MISS MY FRIENDS ;'(

Jam Tangan appetime (Asal Jepang)

Coba deh liat, jamnya lucu lucu :) .

Favoritku ini nih :
appetime, PIPS Yukata, Swallow

Lucu nggak? Lucu yaa.... Lucu lucu deh jamnya... :)

Jadi Bruno dibawa lagi deh ke sekolah. Dan ternyata, Bruno nggak kenapa-napa. Tetep sama seperti dulu.

The Good News and The Bad News

Hei semua. Long time no see. Males aja gitu. Jadi sekarang aku mau ngasih tau kabarku. Bad news aja dulu ya

Jadi, the Bad News ARE :

SEBENTAR LAGI UJIAN AKHIR!!!! Oh no oh no oh no! Ujian bakal tanggal 1-5 Juni. Itu bentar lagi!! Kurang dari 25 hari! Dan aku belom nyiapin apa apa lagi. Urgh *kesal dan sedih*

KATANYA BAKAL ADA BENCANA ALAM BULAN JUNI ATAU JULI! Duh. Tenang. Tenang aja dulu. Kalo terjadi beneran baru deh panik (Padahal sebenernya panik banget)

KAYAKNYA Mr. Awit MARAH DEH. Gara garanya pas Business Day kita nggak ngejualin JMagz.

Oh no. Dan deadlinenya itu tanggal 13 Mei. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Sekarang, baru deh good news nya :

Kayaknya sih nilai kelompok Bahasa Indonesiaku bagus. Aamiin. -_____-
